2. Data We Collect and Why

  • Account: Email, display name, avatar, username — to create and secure your account.
  • Auth identifiers: Sign in with Apple relay email, Google OAuth ID — for sign-in.
  • User Content: Flashcards, Codex entries, Harvest Field posts, prayer requests, Cross Exam answers, direct messages — to deliver core app features.
  • Purchases: Subscription tier, renewal status, transaction receipts — to grant entitlements and prevent fraud.
  • Usage / Diagnostics: Screens viewed, feature interactions, crash logs — to improve reliability.
  • Device info: Device model, OS version, language, timezone, push token — for compatibility and notifications.
  • AI prompts & outputs: Text you submit to AI features and the AI response — to provide the coaching feature and short-term abuse prevention.

We do NOT collect: precise location, health data, contacts, photos library, microphone audio, browsing history outside the app, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. Children Appologia is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

4. Payments Payments made inside the iOS App are processed by Apple using In-App Purchase. We receive a transaction receipt and subscription status only. We never see or store your full payment card number.

5. AI Processing Text you submit to AI features is sent to our AI provider for real-time inference. We do not use your prompts to train third-party foundation models. Prompts and outputs may be temporarily logged for abuse prevention and are deleted within 30 days.

6. How We Share Data We share limited data only with: our hosting and database provider; Apple for sign-in and billing; our AI inference provider; and law enforcement only when legally required. We do not share personal data with advertising networks or data brokers.

7. Retention

  • Account and User Content: kept until you delete your account.
  • Billing records: retained for 7 years for tax and audit obligations.
  • AI prompt/response logs: 30 days, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Crash and diagnostic logs: 90 days.

8. Your Rights You may access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To delete your account: Profile → Delete Account inside the App. For all other requests, email Admin@ActiveFaithllc.com. EU/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

9. Security We use TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and row-level authorization to isolate your data from other users.

10. Push Notifications If you allow notifications, we use them for streak reminders, mission alerts, and community replies. Disable them in iOS Settings → Notifications → Appologia.

11. Changes to This Policy We will notify you of material changes in-app and by updating the "Last updated" date.
